How Online Dating Began
Our two atoms? Hmm. You may be asking yourself what that means. Well, fasten your seat belt, because you’re about to go for a strange, but fascinating ride into the online dating universe (which is what my blog is about if you haven’t gathered from all the Valentiney stuff.)
Most of us have been compelled by that deep attraction to another person. It’s like a drug. You find yourself doing things that just yesterday were unheard of. I think we can all admit we’ve felt this love distraction. That’s love, a distractor. But a distractor with a purpose.
I’m going to pose an odd dating question now, which has an even stranger answer. But stay with me, for this is where you’ll start to unravel the mystery of online dating and romance. And make no mistake, like a tourist who does their homework first, you’ll need to do this to get the most out of online dating.
Have you ever held a rock from a stream in your hand and wondered how it was made? I don’t mean to say that you looked at it and simply said, hmm, that’s neat, then discarded it. I’m talking about really stared at it and pondered how it came together? If you compared it to other rocks, you saw that it wasn’t the exact shape as any other, the exact texture or color, nor the exact weight or density. Buy why? It was just an ordinary rock formed by sediments on the riverbed that got sidetracked on their way to someplace else. Why was it different? Indeed, why had it formed at all?
Brace yourself, because this answer might surprise you. It chose to.
Now wait a second, you’re probably saying. That’s silly. Rocks can’t choose. They’re not alive. They don’t move and make decisions. And even if they did, what in the heck does that have to do with online dating? I just want to know more about online dating and how to find the right person, not this other hoopla.
Patience, my friend, is not only a virtue, but the mailman of wisdom. You don’t have to worry about finding the right person with online dating. You only have to expose yourself to the possibility. The same thing that brings rocks together also brings people together. Not sediment and sand and minerals, obviously, but the smaller stuff. The atoms.
Whether you believe it or not, atoms in any given rock make a conscious choice to come together and build that precise rock. Other atoms make other choices which conceive other rocks. This is why no two rocks are the same (or ever will be), why no two fingerprints are the same, and why no two romances are the same. Similar atoms are attracted to each other. Why do attractive people so often have attractive friends? Why do so-called “nerds” all congregate on the same website? Why does your perfect mate share your warped sense of humor? Similar atoms.
All atoms have purpose, and in the online dating realm we have to admit this before we can expose our softer sides, which we’ll have to do to find out if we’ve found our true mate. Similar atoms will find each other. The only difference between us and the rocks is that the rocks don’t question it when it happens, don’t deny it. They aren’t afraid of it. And that’s sort of what you have to do when it comes to online dating–not be afraid of it. Expose yourself to the possibilities.
That being said, feel free to explore this amazing dating site for all kinds of original dating advice on how to find your similar atom. Remember, in the online dating universe, everybody’s there for the same reasons. It’s silly to feel silly, because everyone in this corner of the planet has the same doubts, questions, and fears. But they also have the same interests as well, thanks to the atoms. You might not realize it, but the latter will. Let them be your love guide.
As for those who aren’t quite ready to expose themselves to the online dating stream just yet, fear not. That’s what this blog is all about, helping you find your way in the online dating world. The internet dating guides and advice offered throughout this relationship blog should help align you to your cause. Remember that while online dating is relatively new, the old romance laws still apply. Just expose yourself to them, sit back, and remember to have fun with it. In online dating, as in life, the secret of the journey lies not in the destination, but in the quest that takes you there.
Good luck and love speed!
